Apply Now for “A New Era of Radiotherapy” Funding Opportunity

The Radiation Oncology Institute is currently accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its annual research grants that will be awarded in the spring of 2023. This year’s theme is “A New Era of Radiotherapy,” and will support research on new radiotherapy methods including but not limited to:
  • FLASH radiotherapy
  • Spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT) including GRID and LATTICE
  • Particle therapy
  • Novel treatment delivery techniques such as personalized ultrafractionated stereotactic adaptive radiotherapy (PULSAR)
  • Immuno-radiotherapy
  • Technology to address disruptions in radiation care such as cybersecurity threats
Typical grants will be $50,000, but budgets of up to $100,000 will be considered. The grant period can be up to two years.

LOIs are required for all applications and are due by November 10, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time. Applications must be submitted through the ROI portal on ProposalCentral. For details on eligibility and how to apply, see the complete request for proposals.
