RadOnc Toolbox App Is Now on Android

Android users now have access to the popular RadOnc Toolbox app, which the ROI recently released into the Google Play store. More than 1,500 iOS users have downloaded this valuable clinical tool for their Apple devices, and the ROI is pleased to make it available to Android users as well. Now, more members of the radiation oncology community can use this resource that compiles and categorizes evidence-based symptom management strategies for radiation toxicity to help improve practice and patient outcomes.

The RadOnc Toolbox includes:

  • Evidence-based interventions for managing and preventing eight of the most common radiation-related toxicities.
  • CTCAE toxicity scales.
  • QUANTEC dose constraints.
  • A dose conversion calculator.
  • Performance status scales.

The symptom pathways for toxicity management are based upon the work and publications of MASCC (Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer) and the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO) as well as the World Health Organization (WHO). The RadOnc Toolbox app was originally conceived and designed by Malolan S. Rajagopalan, MD, MBA, who developed it with support from the ROI.

The new Android version of the RadOnc Toolbox has an updated look and the CTCAE toxicity scales reflect the current version 5.0. The RadOnc Toolbox app for iOS will be updated with the new design and CTCAE v5.0 by the end of the year. Download the RadOnc Toolbox on Google Play or the App Store today! (You will be required to log-in with your ASTRO.org email and password).
