Publication Award Nominations Due July 2
There’s still time to submit your nomination of an early career investigator for the 2020 ROI Publication Award. The honor will be presented to the lead author of the best manuscript published in the past year focusing on one of the ROI’s priority research topics for radiation oncology: communication, safety and quality, toxicity management, comparative effectiveness and value. To highlight and support the work of researchers establishing their careers, the ROI updated the award criteria to specify that the lead author of the nominated article must be a resident, fellow or within 10 years of completing their terminal training program.
The 2020 Publication Award winner will be honored during the virtual ASTRO Annual Meeting in October and will receive a $5,000 grant to build upon the research published in the selected manuscript. This year’s winner will join the distinguished list of past honorees including David Palma, MD, PhD, and Amar Kishan, MD.
The ROI is expecting another exciting competition and is looking forward to reviewing all the nominations to find the very best published work. Learn more about this year’s updated criteria and be sure to submit your nomination by July 2, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on ProposalCentral.
