New Web Pages Make Online Giving Easier
Online giving to the Radiation Oncology Institute (ROI) is now easier and more user-friendly thanks to a recent upgrade to the website. We hope you will use the new features of the site and make a gift to support radiation oncology research.
When you click on the “Donate Now” button, you have three choices: to give online, to make a pledge, or to make a pledge payment. If you select to give online, you can choose the amount as well as a monthly giving option. With a monthly gift, you become a member of the Sustainers’ Circle as your gifts help to sustain the ROI’s research agenda year-round.
If you make a pledge, you now have the options of giving monthly, quarterly, or annually over a period of up to five years. You also now have the ability to set up an automatic payment plan for your pledge payments. When you make a pledge payment, the system will pull up your pledge record and will direct you on making a payment.
Among the new features on the site is a letter of intent for those who want to make multiple gifts to the ROI from a Donor-Advised Fund, which is a giving vehicle at a public charity, such as Fidelity Charitable or a community foundation, that allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time. Donor-advised funds cannot be used to fulfill pledges, so a letter of intent, which is not binding, is more appropriate for these types of gifts.
Please consider making your 2020 gift to the ROI by giving online or making a pledge online. You can become a member of the Founders’ Circle with a gift of $2,500 or more each year for five years. You can become a member of the President’s Circle with a gift of $1,500 or more in 2020. One option is giving $125 per month to join the President’s Circle.
We have tried to enhance the donor experience to make giving to the ROI as easy as possible. If other enhancements are needed, please let us know by sending us an email. Our goal is to respond to your needs as a donor.
