Registration for the 10th Annual ROI 5K is Open
The 10th Annual 5K Run for the Future to benefit the ROI will be held at the 2019 ASTRO Annual Meeting in Chicago on Monday, September 16, at 6:44 a.m. Individuals, academic teams and corporate teams will start the race along the Lakefront Trail at the Chicago Fallen Firefighter and Paramedic Memorial. Participants will run or walk along the picturesque path by Lake Michigan. From the waterfront in San Diego in 2010 to the lakeside in Chicago in 2019, the race has featured many scenic routes over the last decade.
You can join your colleagues for fun and camaraderie, and you can get some exercise before a day of sitting through scientific and educational sessions. While you are enjoying the run, you will be helping to support ROI research to improve outcomes for patients by providing solutions for some of radiation oncology’s most pressing and practical needs.
In addition to competing for racing honors, individuals and teams can vie for the title of top fundraiser. Your name could be featured on a giant banner at the race finish line if you raise the most money for the ROI. This is a great way to help support the ROI whether or not you will be lacing up your shoes to run or walk the 5K.
All sponsorships, registration fees, and donations come directly to the ROI to support research in radiation oncology because premiere sponsor Radiation Business Solutions (RBS) organizes the event and covers all the expenses.
Be a part of this fun event and help us gather what we hope will be the biggest group of supporters yet as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 5K Run for the Future to benefit the ROI. Register for the race and become a fundraiser today!
