2018 5K Run for the Future to Benefit the ROI

  • Meet Our Researchers and Trustees

    On Monday, October 22, 2018 more than 230 ASTRO Annual Meeting attendees gathered to race for radiation oncology research by participating in the 5K Run for the Future to Benefit the ROI. The annual event is generously hosted by Radiation Business Solutions so that every dollar donated by sponsorships and registration fees goes directly to the ROI.

    This year's race in San Antonio featured the renowned River Walk and parts of the historic Mission Trail. Sponsors for 2018 included Radiation Business Solutions, Elekta, Varian, Accuray, Northwest Medical Physics Center and Tier3MD.

    The ROI 5K always features some friendly competition, and the following individuals had the fastest times in 2018.

    In addition to competing for the individual titles, academic institutions and corporations participated in team challenges for additional prizes including scholarship money, trophies and bragging rights!
